Cris Cohen: There are a lot of fun turns of phrase on this album. One of my favorites is “Misery Go Round.”
Rick Faris: This was one of the last tunes I wrote right before we went to the studio. Right before we go into the studio, generally, I have a big burst of creativity. I already have a whole album's worth of songs or we're not going to go into the studio. But there are always a few last-minute shots towards the goal, trying to get every song that can possibly be the best song down on paper and shipped to the producer. The last week is hell for him.
This one came really quick. I think it seriously took maybe an hour just to shoot ideas out, get it down on paper, and get the rough idea out.
