How bands can take full advantage of their photo content
Photos are a big part of a band’s online content. Here is how you can maximize your utilization of them.
Methodical Organization: Begin by meticulously sorting all photos into separate folders. This will set you up for efficient management and retrieval of pictures.
Uniform Naming Convention: Establish a consistent naming format for each image within related groups. This ensures that photos from the same event or photographer are easily identifiable.
Comprehensive Spreadsheet: Develop a corresponding spreadsheet that offers filtering and sorting capabilities based on factors like category, names, and dates. This will be a dynamic tool for quick reference and planning.
Visual Tracking: Utilize the spreadsheet to track the usage history of each photo. Identify images that have been utilized, those that remain unused, and those that haven't been used for an extended period.
Be Consistent: Implement a regular review process for each new batch of photos that comes in. By repeating the organization and naming steps, musicians can sustain an up-to-date and well-maintained image inventory.
This systematic approach guarantees a comprehensive overview of the entire image collection. Consequently, musicians can infuse variety into their posts while ensuring that good shots do not become lost and forgotten.
This is the system I use for all of my clients.
