Cris Cohen: So, I had to look up the phrase “Plein D’Amour” (new song / new album) to get the exact translation. But it's one of those things where just the English translation of “full of love” didn't seem to capture it. And I'm wondering if there is a broader meaning with the French term that can't be pigeonholed into English necessarily.
Derek Sharp of The Guess Who: That's true. And that's very astute of you.
Cris Cohen: Well, thank you.
Derek Sharp: Because every language… and I don't know that many. I just know a little bit of Italian and I know French.
Other languages will say things that make no sense in English whatsoever. This kind of does because it's obvious.
And it sounds a little classier in French.
Full of love. Full of life. It's just a way to be.
Michael Staertow of The Guess Who: It also begs the question too, to ask what it means. So therefore, it gives us an opportunity to explain it.
Derek Sharp: Yeah. But I think it explains itself. You know what I was going to say, Michael?
Michael Staertow: Exactly. <laugh>
Derek Sharp: I'm not going to say it, because we're on a video. How crude can I be?
Cris Cohen: Oh, I'm sure you will not top anyone who's come before. <laugh>
Derek Sharp: But anyway, to me it is self-explanatory. There's no hidden meaning. It just is what it is. But it was a great question, Cris.
Cris Cohen: Thank you.
