More Thoughts On Music Industry Sales Operations
An Analogy. Say you are trying to travel to the city Sold Out Concert. You build a great car to get you there. The band, the venue, and the tour manager had the big responsibilities. They built the engine, the frame, the wheels, the steering system, etc. But there are smaller components like spark plugs, fuel filters, computer software updates, and such. They do not have the figurative or literal weight of an engine, but if they are missing or broken, that impressive car just limps along or sits dead on the side of the road. Making sure all of those smaller components are taken care of is Sales Operations. It is not the primary driving force, but it can affect whether you make it to the city.
