Cris Cohen: How would you say you evolved as a performer?
Rissi Palmer: It's taken a really long time to get to (the sense of abandon on stage). And I think you only get there when you are 100% comfortable in the songs. Most of the stuff that I do is stuff that we have done over and over and over again. Repetition is the best teacher for me. And it is the way that I get comfortable in things.
It feels like a really great pair of jeans after you've worn them like four or five times. They feel really good and they're really soft. (You) slip them on and they hang on you. That's how the music feels to me now.
