Johnny Colla of Huey Lewis & The News (clients): HLN’s a cappella got its start with us singing our favorite R&B ‘oldies’ backstage just to warm up the voices before shows. I’d been making little home demos of my favorite tunes for years, so this was a natural progression for me (and I didn’t have to sing all the parts!). With a little tweaking and arranging, our backstage warm-up started to get really good, and I think it was Huey who one night suggested we just throw one in the set and see what happens… It stuck pretty good!
