Last night I was kind of the representative for Huey Lewis & The News at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. Besides working with the band, my main qualification was that I live 20 minutes from the theater.
The Rick Faris bluegrass cover of their song "The Power of Love" was nominated for "Song of the Year". Unfortunately, it did not win, but it was still a fun evening.
And I can now say I was once at the same event as Steve Martin. I didn’t meet him, but from our seats my wife was able to get a photo that included the back of Steve’s head.
