Some musicians (not clients) have said that I should stop developing thoughtful content for artists about their songwriting and their musicianship.
Instead, I should create short, dumb videos, because those are trendy and get big numbers.
At that point I suggest that they should abandon their own interesting style and thoughtful lyrics.
Instead, they should create songs like such-and-such pop star, whose tunes are made with programmed drums and bass, have no chord changes, and whose lyrics were possibly stolen from a series of greeting cards aimed at children.
After all, those songs are trendy and get big numbers.
“And that’s when he hit me, your honor.”
